The art of Culinary

Culinary arts is the art of cooking. Cooking is a way to prepare food that will be eaten or served to other people.

The word culinary derives from the Latin word culina, meaning kitchen. It is commonly used as reference to things related to cooking or the culinary profession.

The culinary as the unique combination of a set of material ingredients with a formalized method of preparation. It normally needs the right measurements, proper selection and accurate combination of ingredients involved to reach desired result.

Culinary art is the art of cooking. Culinary is a person indulged in the culinary arts.

The diversity of the Culinary arts around the world mirrors many considerations such as:
Economic- Aesthetic- Nutritional- Religious- Cultural

The art of culinary is as old as the human race. As man had control given to him over all the animal and vegetable world, he very soon contrived everything useful to himself and in providing for the claims of hunger, he followed the first dictates of nature.

Aromatics include those sulfuraceous foods that give intense flavor including onions, leeks, garlic, scallions and some other broader of flavor including herbs, spices, citrus fruits, wine and vinegar which can be used to enhance the flavor in culinary.

It is also the art of making and decorating foods in an aesthetic and pleasing manner. The Japanese use color and vegetables in their foods, and they also are included in culinary art.

It’s more a spectacular combination of taste and visual presentation, the food is sculpted into myriad forms and presented in elaborated scenes. Traditionally, nutrition has not been a factor.

The culinary arts, if not always, is associated with fire. The heat generated by fire is often times required to be applied to be able to change the food's texture, flavor, nutritional contents and even its appearance.
