Juice: A Nutritious and Kid-Friendly Beverage

Juice stands out as an exceptionally nutritious option, often comparable to fresh fruits in terms of the nutrients it provides. For children, in particular, juice can be a practical alternative, as it is sometimes easier to drink than to consume whole fruits. This ease of consumption makes juice an effective way to ensure that children meet the daily recommended servings of fruits, as outlined in the Food Pyramid Guide.

The taste and nutritional benefits of fresh fruit and vegetable juices are significant. Many children resist eating fruits, but offering them juice is a viable solution to help them achieve the 2 to 4 servings of fruit recommended daily. A 6-ounce glass of 100% fruit juice can substitute for one serving of fruit, though it's important to note that it is not entirely equivalent due to the lack of fiber found in whole fruits.

For children who experience constipation, fruit juice can be particularly helpful. Diluting fruit juice with fluoridated water can also provide an additional source of fluoride for children who do not like drinking plain water. This combination makes juice not only a source of essential vitamins and minerals but also a tool for promoting dental health and regular bowel movements.

Raw juice, extracted from freshly grown vegetables and fruits, offers an efficient way for the body to absorb a high percentage of the vitamins and minerals present in these foods. This form of juice is beneficial for weight loss and for cleansing the organs, cells, and tissues of the body. The enzymes present in fresh juice assist in detoxification, which is especially beneficial for our often-stressed livers.

The concentration of nutrients from several pounds of produce into a single glass of juice maximizes digestion and nutrient absorption. For optimal benefits, it is crucial to prepare juice fresh daily, ensuring that the nutritional value remains intact.

In conclusion, juice is a versatile and nutritious option that can play a significant role in a child's diet. It provides an easy and effective way to consume essential nutrients, supports digestive health, and promotes overall well-being. By incorporating fresh, raw juices into daily routines, we can harness the full range of benefits that these nutrient-dense beverages offer.

What is green tea?

Green tea is the fuel that drives and invigorates the daily lives of millions in China and Japan.

Light in flavor, lower in caffeine than black tea or coffee, clean and contemporary, in style, green tea is the beverage of choice for more than half the world population.

Green tea contains antioxidants known as polyphenols, flavonoids, fluoride, no cholesterol, no fat, no sugar, natural vitamins and mineral.

Some researchers concluded that drinking four or more cups of green tea per day could help prevent rheumatoid arthritis, or reduce symptoms in individual already suffering from the disease.

The difference between green and black teas is in their processing. The fresh leaves are slightly steamed and then quickly dried in green tea. This prevents enzymes in the tea from breaking down nutritious substances called polyphenols, which are the cancer fighting compounds in green tea.

Vegetable Juice fights Alzheimer

If the person drink fruit and/or vegetable juice at least three times a week it could be reducing the chances of developing Alzheimer's disease (AD) by 76%, the scientist say in their research.

Even if the person have a fruit and/or vegetable juice just twice a week the risk goes down 16%.

Indeed vegetable juices may play an important role in delaying the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.

As the most abundant dietary antioxidants the many kinds of polyphenols found in the juice can better protect the person nerve cells against hydrogen peroxide than do antioxidant vitamin supplements.

Scientists suspect that the antioxidants in these juice ‘mop-up’ free radicals that damage body cells, and this process offers protection against the accumulation of clumps of beta-amyloid proteins in the brain, which are believed to be responsible for Alzheimer’s.

Scientist know that a contributing factor for Alzheimer’s is diminished blood flow to the brain, which results in the deprivation of sufficient amounts of nutrients and oxygen.

Vegetable juice contains a wide variety of nutrient that help to keep blood vessels in good working order and maintain healthy blood pressure.

Polyphenols, a class of antioxidants in vegetable juice, seem to have a protective effect in the brain, reduce the likelihood of dementia and prevent the development of Alzheimer’s disease.

Polyphenol are also found in fruit juice and wine which considered to be raw food and even better of its is organic and vegan.
